No beating about the bush. Taxi's for Manager, Coaches and players. Back 4 can walk out of the bridge. Dont give them the luxury. Very lucky to qualify for Europe next year let alone finish 4th and champions league.

Murph after Arsenals poor start and now tied with Chelsea and with a continued run of 92nd minute goals finishing above Chelsea will never be in doubt

Old Roman must be a very unhappy bunny at the moment

I can see "The Chosen One" coming back unless he is in the frame for the England Poison Chalice

Fragger

Yes we're very poor at the moment but Roman has a huge decision to make as he forked out a reported £16m to hire AVB. So he either backs him for next season and provides him with a huge transfer kitty to bring in younger players, or he takes the hit, pays him up, and brings in someone with more experience to rebuild next year. Personally I am getting sick and tired of us chopping and changing managers and think AVB should probably be kept on irrespective of where we finish this year. But the next two matches will probably be the decider.

I think your biggest problem is the legacy of an ageing squad of players, coasting on former glories, combined with some unproven youngsters, and some over priced tosh.

Same for us really.

Yes. Carlo should've started the overhaul after winning the double. Oh well, it's never dull at Chelsea!

They need an overhaul. Why some of these bigger clubs can't look at United and see that by giving a manager the backing and time they can build dynasty after dynasty with sound investment, funds for players and taking the hard decisions to let big names go if necessary (Beckham, Keane etc)

Ive completly given up with Chelsea. I believe AVB is the man for the job but Roman and everyone else would see it as a disaster if we do not reach the Champions League next year. Things need to start happening now if not Arsenal will pull away very quickly.

Whether they get rid of AVB or not it looks like Roman has to get his chquebook out again very soon. Whats happened to Lukaku they spent a pile of money on him? Also Cech's replacement is on loan at Athletico Madrid so the keeper is sorted.

Reap what you sow.

Chelsea FC fans where giving it the billy big bollocks waving all their money in the air under Jose and are now reaping the rewards.

All that money Jose spent and there's no youth to show for it??

Its very dissapointing with the youth set up. Roman invested heavily into the youth setup but none seem to break through into the first team. The managers are not playing the youngsters wether that be down to not trusting them in games or them just not being good enough?.

Youth set ups in general rarely produce enough top quality players for the amount of money that gets spent. The biggest problem is the expectations of these young kids are so high that fans won't give them a chance.

In 20 yrs we've produced 5 top players in mcmanaman, fowler, Owen, carragher, Gerard and that's it.
Since united had all those young kids through they've not brought nothing else through. Ok there's been a few decent players but none of the class of giggs Beecham etc.

I can see Mourinho going back to Chelsea, this time under his terms with no interference from Roman. Money talks and Mourinho will be paid handsomely so I can see it happening.

As I understand it Roman is a bit short of readies at present... No surprise really when I read that his spend at Stamford Bridge has now topped a billion...

Think AVB won't be going anywhere soon... Though you can never be sure of anything related to footie these days...

For the average Chelsea manager, who is going to last 18 months, tops, why invest in youth, when you are judged on results today?

The Chelsea youth set-up at the moment isn't actually that bad, with a lot of promising youngsters coming through. The problem is that there is a huge age gap between them and the older players with the experience. Obviously with the pressure always on the Chelsea manager to be successful from the start, they haven't been able to move the older ones on when they probably should have.

That's also probably why the likes of Mata, Luiz, Torres, Sturridge and Cahill have been bought in the last few years to try and get the average age down for when the younger ones come through. Can expect perhaps two or three signings in the summer of players who are in the 21 - 25 age bracket, together with the gradual blooding of the younger players, particularly those like McEachran and Kakuta who are out on loan this season.

I think AVB given time might be able to do this and stamp his own style on the club, with someone like Hiddink 'upstairs' guiding football development, but as has been already stated, Roman hasn't exactly been patient with managers thus far. Interesting times ahead at Chelsea and I just hope we somehow scrape into 4th place and into the CL for next season.
