Does anyone know what membership fees are like at Tandridge GC in Surrey? Played a round there last year and thought it was a great course. Suspect the fees will be high/very high based on the setup and clubhouse and no info on website at all about membership. Green fees were not unreasonable though. Have not called them as easier to ask around here for starters. Cheers

Hi OldMate

Full Members Aged 18-23 (33.33%) 563

ENTRANCE FEES

The official answer is that you do have to be proposed/seconded, but more recently we have been allowing people who move into the area from elsewhere to apply - at which point they still have to be interviewed, play two games with committee members etc. They also need to be able to play to 21 or better for men

Thanks Mike, very helpful. The subs are pretty well priced for the quality of the course and location but the joining fee is a bit out of reach unfortunately!

Nice course though. And possibly the best lunch in golf.
Certainly in my top 5. Apparently Waitrose approached the club for the recipe of the famous 'Tandridge Pudding'. I'm told the advance was rebuffed!

as you will see from the attached the said pudding (and indeed lunch) featured heavily in the invite to our annual client golf day in 2009!

Playing there tomorrow. Golf is rubbish at the moment, but at least I can eat with the best of them.;) Looking forward to trying the Tandridge Pudding.

Still waiting fir my invite Mike!

Yes I know I need more, so perhaps seconds ?

trust me - you won't need seconds, or even want them!

personally I can't make my mind up about the course itself; I've played many times, usually score well but never really enjoy it.

always enjoy the lunch and general clubhouse ambiance

I enjoyed the course, though I thought the back nine was much better than the front. Some stunning holes from the 12th onwards. I didn't realise it was a parkland course. For some reason thought it was heathland. Greens were fair having been sanded a few days earlier. Overall I would definitely go back, and the clubhouse, food, staff were great. Had our lunch on the balcony watching everyone top it off the 10th. I managed to hit my drive off there down the path on the 18th.

Seconds???? Thirds????
The pudding was off the menu.

We only had the snack lunch, but it was the best omelette, chips and salad I have ever had. I may have even been so full I left a lettuce leaf.:) The staff were great bringing us beers up from downstairs. We left a healthy tip as they were so helpful.

Tandridge is definitely a club that I would join as a member, but as I get older I would really struggle with the hills on the back nine. The clubhouse is superb, as good as it gets. Lovely atmosphere and everyone so friendly.
