Well after much deliberation and a good season around the local courses, H/C down to 20 from 28, i have decided to join my first golf club,

A nice little club, Halstock just outside Yeovil...$415.00 (pounds) for full year,

Ive played it half a dozen times this year and was always made welcome.

They have taken on new green staff who have made it an excellent 18 holes over the last 6 months and im sure it will continue to improve, it has not got a large membership so no long waits on a Sat/Sun morning, and has a very good social side, plus i will save loads of dosh not having to pay $18 per round LoL.

So if any of you are in the Dorset area any time drop me a line and id love to have a nice 18 holes with ya

Well doen Gazzery.

Hope your game flourishes at your course. Great to have a club where you can always walk onto the 1st and get going. Couldn't bear if we had to book tee times at my own club, that would drive me nuts.

Enjoy the competitions and the social side, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

John.

Good on you Gazzery

I'm a member at a similar set-up in Aylesbury. Small membership, not hugely busy, Ok its not the best track in the world but its ok and I can get on whenever I want.

Happy golfing - hope you win some compys soon

I'm at Aylesbury Golf CEntre at Bierton - just on the Leighton Buzzard side of town.
Vale is ok - havn't played it for a year or 4. Just one hole I don't like. Par 4 drive to the top of a slope and then hit over the lake and trees to the green below. Can't remember the number but you'll know it when you see it.

Have a good day..........
