Quick question from Mr Thick.

How do you know what to delete from your son's tablet to free up memory that won't wreck his tablet. He does not have a lot of games on it but something is obviously using a lot of memory. The games he has are all saved on a memory card.

Cheers

assuming android. settings/ storage / used space.

Cheers, just looked at that , most things seem to be Google play music, Google play movies and other system stuff. The SD card still has loads of space , but there is no option on any of the other items to move them to the SD card.

Is something like Facebook on there? Takes a huge amount of space up.

My old phone was like this. Very annoying. You buy an SD card to expand the memory but then find that lots of things need to be on the device, not the memory card. Much of the problem is built in apps that keep updating and getting bigger. Frustrating.

I think you hit the nail on the head mate. No Facebook but it's the in built stuff that is taking the memory up.

Annoying as hell. Older versions of android used to class an SD card as part of the internal memory and anything could go on there. More recent versions do not allow this and getting anything on to the SD card is a nightmare.

Look at taking some moves off, they take up a huge amount of space.

there are apps in play that will move stuff between local and Sd
