Morning all,

After recommendations for a tablet for a 8 year old, he would use it for games, photos, you tube etc. Prob needs decent memory as I have no doubt he will download a lot of crap.

Not going to lie, I really don't want to spend more than £70.

Cheers

Amazon Fire HD would be the best value tablet for what you get and it's just a touch over your budget at 80-85

That's for the 8" version - you can get a 6" one for 60

The Hudl is also pretty decent but again just over budget

The Nvidia Sheild is pretty good and you could get that for about £50

For me the Fire is the best value Tablet on the market

Got this for HID last year. Cracking tool

If you aren't bothered about operating system the Kindle would offer some great value but I personally find the Fire's disappointing. My dad has an older Fire 7". The omission of youtube out of the box was shocking. He's also been getting more frustrated with it in regard to some apps he uses require google play services and the standard kindle doesn't support them.

Good for us though. His Xmas present is going to be a Lenovo Tab 3. At £69.99 and offers a decent tablet with Android 5.1 which will meet his needs perfectly.
