Just seen video footage ( BBC news) of a 5yr old Syrian boy being rescued from a building that has been attacked in an air strike. he is placed in the back of an ambulance. It is truly heart breaking. Poor little sod, he has done nowt to deserve any of that

I moved quickly passed the picture I saw of him this morning... I then realized that I cannot hide my head in the sand and went back and looked at the poor little chap. My little one is 5 and I just let that sink in for a moment.

There are times when such pics are truly 'world changing' and others when they show up things that (certain parts of) the world is 'desperately trying to ignore'! This could well be another that covers both!

This part of the world has been a disaster area that nobody with real political clout has really wanted to get involved in for so many years! I believe it would be rather different if Syria produced more oil - it produces a little less than Papua New-Guinea and a little more than Austria!

Brought to mind the picture of the young Vietnamese girl burned by napalm from the Vietnamese War.
Images stay in your mind but we seem powerless to change these atrocities reoccurring.

Same here mate.
my boy is 8 now,but really makes you think how your kid would be in that situation.
Just think how scared they get after a bad dream, and this innocent kid as gone through this.
The world is such a messed up place.
