Appreciate there have been a few threads about this basic analysers, had my eyes opened by the skypro today and for the change I am working on it did seem to add value.

If taking further would only be looking at Android version, so any feedback on quality of the android side.

Also are any of them strong in coping well with being used by more than one person?

Expect most people will rate the one they own. Is it fair to say swingbyte has best stats but some concerns on clip slip?

Yes, I have a SB II and you've pretty much summed it up. It does slip but equally, a quick tweak and its back in place.

Stats are all you can deal with!

Thanks SVB.

Been a lot of purchasing going on it seems, anyone using any of these (or 3Bays) fairly regularly, or recently purchased?

Am still undecided if and where to go.

Be careful with swingbyte 2 if you hit off mats a lot. I've had one of the straps break so they sent me 3 new ones (which makes me think they know it is a bit of an issue). Then the plastic catch completely snapped off mine when I was just hitting a normal 7 iron off a mat, so it needs to go back. As for the stats there are a lot of them and they are only any use if you know how to interpret them.

As for the android part then the ipad version gets the best features first, which is kind of understandable as it's one standard version. Where as there are so many variants of android operating systems out there.

Thanks SVB.

I own a 3bays GSA and its a cracking bit of kit. Really helped me get my plane a bit more singular and the club speed readings are pretty bang on (compared with a Trackman at my local range)

Dont think its as stat heavy as some of the others on the market if deep statistical analysis are your 'thing'. Mind you i did not want loads of metrics spat out at me, as it would probably confuse me.

Thats not to say it does not give a load of good and valuable data though.

easy to fit and you dont know that it is even on the club when swinging.

So now that i have done my mini review, i will add that i will be selling ASAP in order to partially fund my brand new 'game golf' device. At a good good price etc....

Swingbyte 2 rocks and the company is very impressive! I sent them a message about clip slip and they sent me a new slip the following day. it never slipped again. If you want one of these things, Swingbyte 2 is the one in my opinion. Great software.

Sadly for me it just made me rip at the ball too much and think too little about target.

like you say, most people would rate the device they own. i am a skypro user and very happy with the stats that it provides so would definitely recommend. only problem i ever have with it is that it tends to pick up maybe 8 out of 10 shots you hit with it.

not sure what other devices are like with regards to shot capture rate. certainly never had any issue with the clip.

No issues with the GSA with regards to missing shots, though I beleive 'man in black' from this very forum noticed it was incompatible with the matrix Black tie shaft?

Possibly worth noting if you are thinking of spending a few quid.

I used a red tie in my Cleveland XL and had no issues however

It was the Swingbyte 2 that didn't like the Black Tie but I get 90% results attaching it a little further up the shaft, partly on the grip.

Ah my mistake.

When bought my gsa, my first swing with the red tie produced no results.

My first thoughts were 'should have listened to the forum advice'

Then I noticed the power was off......

You would not thing I work in IT.....

Ha.

After trying them all out I decided on the skypro 15 months ago and I'm very glad I did. The stats are great along with the groove mode which has honestly helped my game. I have just down loaded the android version and it's fine, it's just missing the pro status chart but apparently is coming soon even though I don't need to use the pro mode as in does deep in to stats also if you don't understand what a statement means it will explain very well what it actually is along with a video on improving that specific part.

Mine was out of warranty and they still replaced within in 2 days no questions asked.

Top but of kit along with a great service.

Thanks for the input all. Seems like it is similar to most things these days, a lot of decent products and comes down to personal choice.

I'd initially dismissed the Zepp thinking the glove attach idea was vulnerable to grip changes, but comments have won me round. The skypro, which is what I had a go with, was worried that Android seemed a bit of an afterthought for them. So thanks for those comments.

Still not sure if the novelty would be over after a couple of weeks, but I know I have a habit of slipping back to old inside and flat habits. Plus some sons who just might be won over by some tech to hit some balls.

Cheers

same here, i just ended up chasing the MPH!

I am assuming that is down to accuracy of the device? I did notice that they had Keegan Bradley endorsing the product.

guess they all have accuracy that's in the ball park.
can't speak to experience of use of any.

from what I can see the Pro's don't use them for most of the parameters of measurement that most ams would look for SS etc.

having looked into it in any depth but where Zepp would seem to be useful & why any Pro would perhaps more likely to use it (plus they don't particularly want to have something attached to the shaft) but would guess the main attraction would be the parameters of club path & hand path, so detailed info backswing to downswing planes.

while back pretty sure Zepp was the only one that measured hand path, no idea if any others do now.

anyone having any issue with backswing plane being flat or steep, movement at transition so issues with downswing plane having access to this info would be a good way to go.

plus as a generalization big percentage of ams don't use the lower body in the right ways, so having access to hip rotation numbers in the same unit, backswing, downswing, impact, would be real useful too.

I like the stats that the Swingbyte produces & take little notice of swing speed. My fault is to take the club back too much on the inside, aim left and then hit it with the face open to the target line. The Swingbyte confirms this with the Face to Path & Face to Address figures & tells me how my efforts to eliminate this fault are doing. I sold my Swingbyte because I didn't like the way it kept moving around the shaft & got a GSA Pro. However the GSA doesn't provide any useful figures so I returned it & am now waiting for the delivery of a Swingbyte which I have just bought from a forum member.

Being able to see your swing side by side with a pro's from various angles is also an excellent feature &, for me, quite disturbing!

I'm definitely in the market for one of these, but really don't know which one. The SkyPro groove mode seems great, the swingbyte stats seem very good and the Zepp gets excellent reviews.

Really not sure what I should be looking at here!! So confusing!!
