This is due to pop up on Amazon Black Friday Deals at 5:10pm. It looks a useful bit of kit but I have seen mixed reviews about accuracy. Does anyone have one or has anybody used one?

Don't suppose you know if Skypro is going to be discounted. From what I've read Skypro and swingbyte seem to be the front runners, but what swung it for me is that Skypro is easier to calibrate and some people have had problems with swingbyte slipping on the shaft.

its pretty good. i had one for a while. the only pointless thing is using it on the range as using range balls gives useless date. I also shipped mine in the from the states for about 50% of the cost it is over here.

Yup, I've got one and it is good fun. It just gives you carry distance and smash factor basically worked out on the the speed of the club head and the speed of the ball once its its been hit. So it does not tell you launch angle and it must be making some assumptions about that as you need to input the loft of each club you use into the system. This means you can get some overoptimistic carry distances on some shots of say you hit a low hook. There is a voice option but I turn that off as I will look a bit of an arse on the range with that thing shouting out my distances to me, so I just look at them on the screen.

If you are looking for accuracy down to the nearest foot then you won't get it at this price point. But the results I get on it are there or there abouts with the results I get on a GC2 I use on lessons. When I've used mine it has picked up the vast majority of shots, again no worse than a GC2. You can also use it for some targeted practice as there is a mode where it tells you how far to hit it and then marks you on how accurate you are on hitting specific distances.

Not sure what it will come down to in price , it's not really a tool to use to help with fitting or working out what is the best shaft set up or configuration on the the adjustable drivers. But as a tool to help make practice a bit more fun and give you a decently accurate indication of your average real, as opposed to one off forum carry distances, it is very good.

I'd be very wary of swingbyte, I got one a bit ago and I have had endless problems with the fixing mechanism breaking/snapping and having to get it reapaired. It does give very good stats when it is working but the fixing mechanism to the club it is not engineered very well at all.
