Been invited to a charity day at this course next week, anyone know it?

Hole by hole guide looks good. Hopefully in good condition.

From overview they may have a practice field, if time permits are there any quick basket style ranges close by for a tune up?

Cheers

Pleasant enough course - and Charity Days are not really about the Golf anyway.

Several really good holes in amongst a few quite bland ones - unless there's a 'wrong breeze' blowing!

Has the interesting personal history of being the only course where I've lost a ball ....... on the practice putting green!!!!

One of Smiffy's mates plays there, but I seem to remember Smiffy was not keen on the course. No doubt he will be on to confirm.

I lost a bowl, on the bowling green at Alderney Golf Club.:o First and only time I ever played.

I was playing with the club captain a few years back and he lost a ball on the 1st tee before we started ... he put it in the ball washer and it never spat it back out!

Don't like it at all Rich.
A couple of good holes but some Mickey Mouse ones too.
4th hole. Good luck. Green slopes away from you, with a pond right behind it. If you are not 300 yards off the tee on that one, make sure you lay up short for your 2nd shot and hope for a chip and a putt par. Anything fizzing in here low is going to get wet for sure.
Back to back par 5's on the way home, the first of which will have you scratching your head....followed by a hit and hope par 3. Nah, I don't like it.
Quagmire in the winter, bone hard in the Summer. It won't be too bad at the moment though.
Good luck

PS The "hole by hole" guide of Lydd makes it look quite interesting too
