Only heard about this today whilst driving

What's the general feeling about this ? Should the parents be able to pick that they only want the heatlthy baby or should they take both babies ?

Both babies for me - just because she has been born with downs doesn't mean she can be discarded like that

one story i heard on Radio 2 iirc stated the surrogate parents were not made aware of the twin girl all the way through and it was discovered she had downs around 4m into the pregnancy. That story led you to believe the aussie couple had kept their side of the bargain. Also they said that no money is supposed to change hands in Thailand for surrogacy.. the whole things stinks as dodgier than a ping online seller with G25 drivers at £99.

The real truth will never come out, just hope the little one is looked after properly.

Do we know if the egg is the mother's or the surrogate mother's? Or indeed the egg and/or sperm of third parties.

Does it matter about the egg? Surely what's more important is the child be loved and cherished?
