Check out the post-shot reaction here! Nifty footwork, but that must have stung a little?

The player is an Englishman called Gary Christian who plays on the Nationwide Tour in the States. He won the other week after a nine-hole play-off and is currently in with a real shout of making the top-25 and gaining promotion to the PGA Tour. Hence the reaction perhaps...

Did something similar weekend before last at the club champs.

Duffed an easy chip over water right into the pond. That was after dropping my teeshot in the pond. Hit my wedge down at the ground in frustration and somehow managed to land it right on top of my left foot.

I know. I know. What an idiot ! :o

Not my normal behaviour I can promise you.

This was on the 3rd, limped for the rest of the round.

When I got home it was badly swollen, couldn't put any weight on it and had to spend the evening with an ice pack on it.

At one point I was contemplating a trip to casualty.

Got up the next day, still a bit sore and swollen, but still went and played the second round. :)

I dont understand the dope, I can understand that happening when someone cocks it up completely(though I dont condone it) but he just hit a beautiful shot, from poor position and left it dead after nearly sinking it?????

You wouldn't want to be in his kitchen when he gets the cooking almost perfect, bloody knives flying everywhere! :D

Here's the deal Herbie. He's currently 24th on the Nationwide Tour money list, with the top 25 going on for a pop at untold riches on the main PGA Tour next year. That was his last hole, and when he hit the chip he thought it was to possibly still make the cut, and add a few more dollars to his cause. As it happens, he missed by two anyway, so no cash and now no sand wedge either, or whatever club it was!

Oh I see, maybe I could understand that a little, but he is still a dope, he has just chucked his sunday best almost perfect chipping tool in the lake, I wonder how much that will cost him in a season... :D :D

He's got a better touch than Eboue, and he didn't dive after it either. Can Wenger employ him?

I was impressed as it was a very sound left foot volley from an obviously right handed, so assuming, right footed player.

Van Persie would have missed that totally with his right foot. Eboue would have missed it with either.

Nevertheless, a solid comeback last night. Nice bit of handy work from Sanga. :D
