SUPPORT SCOTTY's LITTLE SOLDIERS - I doubt Pauldj42 will post this himself. So I've done it!!

Nice one Paul. Certainly lost some tripe since we last played ?.

Donation made ?
Cheers mate, lost 3 1/2 stone since Oct when sciatica ruined last season, all I could do for 3 months was swim so swam 6 days a week and a side effect was the weight loss.

Lockdown was/is difficult so cycling and jogging and the chance to help a Charity has given me a focus.

Thanks for the donation, very much appreciated.(y)

Since you were forced to bail-out of our Pairs at Seaton last August I've followed, with interest, your fitness reports on Twitter... & knackering it has been, for me! :sneaky: So when I saw your Tweet
about your 'May Marathon' for a really good cause, I thought I'd at least return the £20 entry to Seaton that you'd generously left me with last Aug & help you on your way to the £300 target you'd set yourself. Great to see that's been well bust by the Forums generosity...... Well done guys (y)(y)

You’re right mate, I wouldn’t of mentioned it on here and I really must publicly thank you and all the guys from the forum who have stepped up today and made a donation, absolutely blown away by the support.

It proves just how good this forum is and everything positive about it.

To everyone on here I’ve pissed off, I apologise, your genoristy means more than you realise to me and the positive impact you’ve made the kids of the deceased Service Personnel.

Edit: Due to the response I’ve increased my target, that’s your own fault.;)

Little update:

Got a phone call out of the blue this afternoon, it was from Nikki Scott the founder of Scotty’s Little Soldiers, Nikki’s husband Cpl Lee Scott was killed in Afghan in 2009.
She was basically thanking me for signing up for the fundraiser and also she had spotted I had changed my target twice so soon in to the challenge.

I explained it was down to the response and generosity of the people on the GM Forum, I explained what the Forum is and what you’ve done in the past and she was delighted to hear about it and asked me to pass on her thanks to the forum and to assure you all that every penny raised is put to good use to ensure the charity provides assistance to hundreds of bereaved British Forces children around the UK.

Support offered to the children includes access to professional bereavement counselling, fun activities such as holiday breaks and group events, gifts at important times of the year and personal development assistance through educational grants.

Thanks again.
