I played today and submitted a supplementary card for handicap purposes. I've been playing well so I thought if I did extra cards I may come down quicker.

I ended up shooting a gross 82 on my 12 hcp so a net 70. I was at +4 for the first nine but two doubles on the back nine and not enough pars cost me shots.

The club secretary won't get my card until Monday so no update will be made on HDID until then, however I'm in a comp Sunday so if this round gives me a cut should I make it manually?

My actual hcp is 12.2 at the moment.

What is par or CSS normally ?

Does a net 70 against par give you enough of a cut to get to 11 ?

you should treat it the same way as a Q score - make any necessary handicap reduction based on the SSS/par for the tees played and your stableford score.

Neither of those make much sense to me, lets start from the beginning please.

SSS is 71 of the whites, par is 71.

So you would only be getting a cut of .2 anyway

So your playing handicap will still be 12 after the supplementary

What is the SSS? It'll be on the card. Not the par.
