Playing off Whites for first time this season today in a 4 BBB Par Comp, I informed the Pro I intended to also put a Supplementary Card in, as it was I played well, however, afterwards he said he wasn't sure I could do that in a 4BBB Format but to enter my card in the Comp box and he will check.

Pretty sure (stand to be corrected) that if it's better ball you can't do this as you potentially won't have to hole out on every hole
That's why I informed the Pro prior to starting and my playing partners were aware of my intention to hole out on every hole.

I understand that, but say you had a shocker on a hole, would you really go back and play another (as an example) in a BB format Not sure the rest of the filed would be thrilled with you holing everything out. 8 for nothing does nothing for pace of play. Sorry to be harsh but not really the day to be doing it in my opinion.

Absolutely accept your opinion and a very fair point, as it was, I actually played my lowest ever round, so if it's not accepted, slightly frustrating,

CONGU rule shown below. One reason why is that your partner can give you advice such as the line of putt.

17.2 The following returns are not acceptable as
Qualifying Scores:
(a) Scores returned in any better ball four-ball competition.
