this was posted on my personal electronic score records from my club ''You are currently eligible to submit a supplementary score ''

could anyone tell me what this means? thanks

Charly it means that you can declare before you play a non-competitive round that you are going to submit a supplementary score.
You complete your card as normal stating Supplementary Score in the Competition Box and this card will be used to maintain your handicap as active if you don't play in sufficient qualifying competitions.

There is a maximum number of supplementary scores you can submit - I believe it is 10 in any one year.

cheers. that would make sense. just out of interest, who do you declare to that you going to hand in a SS? and is it 3 cards or jus the one this time?

I have to declare to the staff in the Pro Shop when I collect my card. This is so you don't decide not to hand it in if you have a bad round. Not submitting the card would see 0.1 added to your handicap.

You need three to establish a handicap but you can put one in at any time if you already have a handicap and want it kept up to date.
