Anyone use these?

Thinking of swapping out the full round Edel grip to one the same size but with a slight flat on it.

Like the round grip but miss the assurance a flat fronted grip gives knowing you are lined up the same every time.

Difficult at my place to really try them other than a quick feel of a dummy grip hence keeping the size near enough the same. Or do the fat ones really help?

Haha, I have been considering the same, but replacing it with the edel pistol grip. I think my only reservation is if the grip is slightly out, then the face isn't necessarily aiming where you want. A round trip doesn't have that issue, it is all down to the user.

Odd one!

I think more than anything it is habit. Prior to the round one always had a flat grip. Trouble is I do hole so many more putts now but sometime feel i can leave the face a little open. Just me being careless i know.

The superstroke has a very slight flat so similar to the round with the bonus of the flat bit

I have the SS 3.0 slim on my current putter, you could pick it up blindfolded and know your hands are in the correct place due to the flat part where i place my thumbs,
Personal preference and all that, bit of a pig to fit but worth it imo.

I know what you mean. I might buy the midsize Edel one, and see if I like it or not. Would rather try and keep it 'stock'...although I do like the Golf Pride Tour SNSR pistol grip

Yep had one for 3 years - best grip that I have used. Have a look at the different sizing to make sure you get the one that's comfy for you

I changed the grip on my Edel a couple of times now as didn't like the round one.

Ended up with a Superstroke Flatso 1.0 and really like it. Not too big but has a more pronounced flat front (as the name implies.....) than the normal SuperStroke ones. Struggled with the round one to get my hands in the right place for some reason

Got the slim 1.0 on mine, just wanted a slightly thicker grip than a pistol midsize, these are perfect for me. When i change putter i always get one of these as soon as possible.

I toyed with one on an Odyssey for a while but last year got a good deal on an Ebay Scotty Cameron Go Lo with the standard pistol grip.

Had a SAM session recently and found my stroke was a bit of a cut across so have been thinking of switching to an SS grip again. I did find I lost a bit of distance control with the Odyssey but not sure if that was down to the face insert rather than the grip.

Any SS users have any thoughts on distance control - have heard thats one drawback with a thicker grip - less feel.

I went from a SS grip to my round EDEL and much prefer it, agree it's a personal preference thing.

Absolutely, one side of me is lothed to swap it. But the normal SS is close to round with a very slight flat.

I guess i'm thinking this is the best of both worlds.
I'd be too nervous to change anything as it's working so well. :)
