...And probably one of my worst rounds ever! I couldnt of hit a cows ass with a banjo (no animals were harmed in this thread). Nothing felt right from my grip to my stance. The only thing that behaved was my putter for a change so something positive came from it. Oh well theres always next weekend :D. How did you fare today?

Oh dear fella. Head up, new shinys will come good.

Won £12 in this mornings roll up, opened with 5 pars on the bounce, putter was smoking hot all day, which is a first. Back 9 for me was very erratic though.

Nevermind mate different day tomorrow.
Shot under handicap myself, striking the ball quite nicely.
Our greens are shocking atm.

33 points in the roll up including a no score at 17 from a yard short of the green. Had the G25's in the bag after an accident at the range meaning I had to do the walk of shame and retrieve my 7 iron head from the Taylor Made's. Some good shots, a few wild drives, a couple of annoying three putts. Didn't really trust the swing again but round by round its coming.

New shineys always take a while to behave, they just need a bit of training.

35 points for me. Drove the ball like an idiot for the first 9 holes and short game was a bit iffy but turned in 19 points and was 3rd in our 4-ball  (We finished with 140)

Sorted the driving on the back nine but still too many stupid mistakes around the greens. Still I broke 80 again which is always something to be pleased about

Sometimes you can expect too much from new sticks, I played a 9 holes Tuesday afternoon with new bats after only 50 balls on the range, was convinced I'd made a booboo, but after 150 balls Thursday night I can't wait to hit the course tomorrow.

Started off with an absolute shocker on the front 9. On the way back in was much better but unable to rescue the position I was in. Going in the right direction though:)

18 this morning, nothing felt right at all, good job it wasn't a comp, 1st tee shot straight out right ob set the tone for the round, made my 1st par at the 5th and couldn't get anything going at all. Hope tomorrow in the am am will be better or my team may never talk to me again :D

Well the new irons (MP63's) behaved themselves. The driver on the other hand was not so co-operative.

Still there's always tomorrow. Don't you just love the inbuilt optimism of a golfer!

Well i cant blame the new clubs as theyre the same as my old set but regular flex due to my diminishing swing speed :p. But as said the putting was better the driving straighter and the weather superb. My mate played really well though and punished me 6 and 5 :o

New shineys always take time to bed in, don't worry yourself.

As for me. I Didn't count my score today, just working through some changes.

Hit the ball nicely all the way round, aside from two holes.

Highlight being an 8 iron from 142 yards that pitched about 6" from the pin and span back 4ft.

Greens were still semi frozen when I played which made putting a bit of a lottery but still holed out pretty well.

Second round with my new shineys, shot a 91 which i was quite pleased with. Trying to apply the stuff from a couple of lessons recently, not completely successfully, but not a complete disaster.

Driver went quite well, fairways woods hit and miss, mid irons ok and short irons pretty good overall. Putting was a bit iffy front nine but tidier on the back.

Will be back out next saturday……..
