Not wishing to reincarnate Dels annual daylight savings thread
But

I'm up in Troon, it's 10.25 and it's still well light outside, back home in Bucks it's dark by 9.40,
Didn't realise that 400 miles makes so much difference.
More time for a round after work
Thinking of emigrating :)

I am around 5 miles south of Troon and that is just getting dark now.
Cracking sunsets at this time of year too.

They are going to need those long evenings with Speith and (all)Day playing this week :o

One from the River Clyde over Gourock the other night Phil.

Good memories Gordon 😉

Just wait 'till winter when it hardly gets light all day.

SNP promising 18 hours of daylight every day after independence and if you don't get it you can blame the English for keeping it to themselves!

Happy memories Andy, I used to sit up at the French Cross and contemplate life. Thanks for posting

Not far from me then Davie!

What I find astonishing about the west coast sunsets from Ayr is the midwinter sun sets on Ailsa Craig and midsummer sun sets on Goat Fell [Arran].
My wife is a keen photographer and has captured some great Scottish sunsets, best one is looking up Loch na Keal on Mull.

I was watching the live Sky sports coverage from Troon last night and thinking the same thing. Show didn't finish till 10pm and it was still properly light outside.

The lady that does our gun dog training class said the same thing the other day - the light down here (Cotswolds) is terrible compared to the light quality in scotland, even on a cloudy day.

you want to see it 200 miles further north then;)

Really light up the North West of Scotland until 23:00hrs then by 03:00hrs it's getting bright again, will try and get a photo later looking over little loch broom 😀

Lovely picture. Reminds me of working up in Scotland a few years ago. Used to play golf in the evening at Cardross and drive back down to my digs over the Erskine Bridge usually just as the sun was setting. Great views out to the west.
