I want to get some new sunglasses this summer and would like some I could also wear for golf. Oakleys seem pretty good, any other recommendations out there? Or even a specific style of Oakley?

Most of the sport type models are fine, I found they come up in slightly different sizes so worth trying on to find which fit/suit your face best. They tend to target the G30 iridum lens for golfers but if you go onto their site there is quite a lot of advice as to which to use in which conditions. Personally rarely play in them these days, something to do with our weather lol

This link allows you to see what effect most of the lens types available have

Thanks chaps - I'll try some of those, there's an Oakley shop not too far from me. Not sure I go in for the wearing them in bright cloudy conditions that the Oakley website would have me believe essential - I want some for when it's sunny!!

Wouldn't be much market in this country without stressing their use for combatting glare!

Are there any 'budget' brands worthy of consideration? 'Lost' too many expensive pairs over the years... So, not in a rush to spend big... Yes, I know you get what you pay for... But, my Raybands arn't really suitable for golf...

Check out Sundog they're excellent.
I thought about getting Oakleys, but reckoned that living in Scotland it probably wasn't worth spending too much on golfing sunglasses!
