Today was the monthly S/F... Last evening, was at my bro-in-law's in Kent. The idea was to finish early and get back in time for some sleep and be on time for the 7:50 am tee off. But as these things go, a few wines later it was midnight. So had to sleep over.

Woke up at 5:30am before driving the family c65 miles from Kent to Surrey and get to the club with 15 mins to spare. Shot 31 points incl 4 blobs..

There you go, my longest drive for a morning game .. 65 miles. What's the forum average..

Only six miles or so from the club (15 minutes depending on traffic). Don't tend to wander too far from home these days unless its a big comp or GM meet and even then usually stay over to make sure I am there bright eyed and ready to chop

81 miles each way to go and play at Alwoodley in a 40mph gale, what a course though and well worth the drive.

When i was a member at Tain i would reg drive the 40 miles each way, and Dornoch games no problem. Nairn is about 20 miles each way so drive that every time i play.

I hate if its more than 20 minutes. Currently not at a club as I have nowhere convenient enough!

When I move house I will probably settle again, or maybe join before I move if the course is right (I know my priorities)

212miles I went to chipping sodbury to play a greensome comp I promised to play in with my nephew the original plan was a week in Gloucester visiting family but that fell through so a long day entailed.

The longest I've done is Birmingham to Coventry (Brandon Wood GC), so around a 50 mile round trip, for a knock with the Uni lads. Some of my best rounds with my best pals! Happy days!

Played there a week past Friday, never seen so much purple stuff ever and it was on a benign day with some rain....... 40mph winds, on a course that is very open in places but sooooo tight, must of been hell.

Heather is lovely and purple but I am used to that with the hotchkin, drove the ball incredibly well even with the wind been ridiculous, for some reason I didn't find it as tight as the hotchkin but still a good test of golf tho.

1.25hrs to course
1hr practice
4.30 hr rounds
1 hr in sumptuous clubhouse
1.25hr to get home

3 times a week for 14 years!!

Now my club is a 4 min walk to the first tee....luxury

Drove about 80 miles each way yesterday to Hunstanton GC for a 36 hole foursomes club match.

In the car at 0630 and home at 2100.

3 club wind and a narrow defeat on the last hole, but what a fantastic course, would do it again in a heartbeat..
