I got out yesterday morning and shot an 85 which I was happy with, it could of been so much better as I missed a couple of birdie puts and a few par putts but hey if this is summer then roll on July/August.

Played yesterday, windy and wet and still playing off mats on the fairway. Pro says that mandatory use of mats will end on Tuesday.

All we need is a couple of dry, warm days to start to dry out the course and get some growth on the greens.

Played 16 holes in bright sunshine yesterday and 2 in the rain so pretty good overall. Woke up this morning to more bright sunshine so may slip out for 9 holes.

Yesterday sacked it and went to the local club for a quick pint as HID would not have supper ready until 6.
Today went up to pay subs and it was like a different world sun shining and not a breath of wind , just need a few like this to dry out the soggy bits.
As the clocks go forward and the nights lengthen young mens minds drift toward thoughts of love, lod buggers like us start to wonder if our HC will ever come back down before we have to teeoff upstairs.
look forward to the summer and more golf than last year.
