OK, I admit it, I am a sucker for the summer blockbusters at the cinema. I know it is not exactly high art cinema but I really enjoy an effects laden spectacle on a big screen with great sound etc. Loving it even more since I changed phone companies and get 2 for 1 tickets on a Wednesday. Best films so far this year have been Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Anyone got any recommendations for others worth watching or any that are coming up over the next few weeks.

Into the storm and sin city are bith expected to do well (according to head office at odeon at least). In betweeners has been busiest film of the summer hols too.

must watch inbetweeners series and 1st movie- heard its not bad.

Expendables 3 out now, first 2 were fine and filled a couple of hours entertainment, just dont look through the plot holes and ignore the never ending cliches and its passable. will se EP3 this weekend

HID had op yesterday and coming home today so no going out for several weeks as she's recovering. Gone through all the old DVD's and so will mostly watch them including first Inbetweeners movie. I want to go to the new one but have to wait. At least we have movies on demand

Even though I now get in for free I don't go as often as I ought to... But I will be making an effort to see the upcoming Luc Besson offering 'Lucy'... If the film itself is not up to scratch Scarlett Johansson being in it will soften the disappointment...
