Suit Fitting - Manchester or online

Does anyone have any experience of getting fitted for a suit online?

Got a wedding to go to on the 26th and fancy getting something new and potentially fitted.

I have a rough budget in mind but was just curious if anyone had tried this method. I am not in a position to spend £1000's but could stretch to £500 maybe

Alternatively can anyone recommend anywhere in the Manchester area.

First question is have i left it to late to get something bespoke?

First port of call here would be Slaters Menswear, I believe they have a store in Manchester. Good selection and they will alter as necessary if you don't fit the standard sizes.

I've always liked Hugo Boss suits and for your budget you would easily find something in the Manchester store. They do the alterations at a local tailor and whilst you mooch around for a couple of hours they will get it ready for you.......obviously not if you go in towards closing though. For slightly more Paul Smith (Selfridges) has a decent choice.

For hard wearing work suits I tend to stick to M&S and they last me a good while. Other off the self suits just don't fit because i'm a funny shape.

Have a look at the Tailor Store online suit creator you design you suit, add all your measurements and they deliver to you, mind you if you want one for the 26th it might be pushing it as it's around a 3 week delivery.

I've not had a suit from them, but have bought a couple of shirts for me and a couple for my dad and they are superb.

Cheers for the suggestions. Surprised you can get a Boss suit for under a monkey. Ill take a look

@ Khamelion. That website looks really good. Unfortunately there is a 4 week lead time on delivery. Typical me and my poor preparation..

Picked up my 3 piece from a shop at Cheshire Oaks (for the life of me I can't remember which). Granted it's a bit hit and miss what the shops have there and you may not have the full tailored fitting, but there were loads on offer. Had my eye on a really nice Hugo Boss for £400 but they didn't have a waistcoat available.
