Suggest a venue

Morning all, I'm after some info please. I organise a couple of Sunday Driver golf packages a year for about 36 players. We've been to Outon Hall in Leeds the last few times and I need to try a new venue, I need somewhere within an 1½ hours from Manchester, A couple of people come who can;t play golf so the course can't be too difficult. I'd prefer to go off someones recommendation rather than scrolling through the net.

All suggestions welcome.

I would recommend forest pines in north lincolnshire, 3x 9 holers all in good nick and not too punishing with good facilities too.

Cavendish Golf Club in Buxton is a superb course and not too far from Manchester. Very welcoming indeed and, when we went, was deserted on a Sunday!

Have a look at Formby Hall and Carden Park. FH is a nicer course imo, but Carden Park would offer more to the non golfer with the spa etc. Chester is also on the doorstep

I vote for Carden Park too and Chester was a good night out for a few beers with the lads after golf.
