Sudden Surge of Surveys

Is it me or are there a lot of Surveys popping up by new members who post 1 or 2 things.

Not sure about others but I personally think they are only after things like IP addresses and email to spam us?

What are others thoughts on this, I was going to be saracastic and put a poll up for responses but cant be bothered. lol

It's getting to that stage in people's degrees or course I guess where they need to canvas opinion

I guess along as it's relevant then it's ok

When I did my dissertation, many years ago, I did a questionnaire as part of it. I went around knocking on neighbours doors to ask my questions. I got many a miserable response and felt thoroughly disheartened at the end of it. By posting on forums such as these the person asking the question will get a better cross section of answers and no abuse. You can choose to take part or ignore it so it is no hassle to anyone who is not wanting to help. Good luck to the people involved, although I am slightly depressed at being too old for the latest one posted up. When did 45 become too old?

I am not too concerned with it. New members means a more active and interesting forum.
Plus I have seen these sites before as I only finished Uni myself 4 years ago.

People spend so much time in the 'negative' nowadays.

As others have said, if it's relevant then it's fine by me. It would be interested if they posted their subsequent findings but i'm guessing that that won't be the case

Other than the fact that I sometimes think these are never proper degrees, not like the ones you used to do in the olden days, they are fine by me. Then again I suppose if I could choose my degree subject again and something golf related was on offer then I may well go for it.

I don't have a problem with these requests. It's up to you whether you fill them in (or qualify if it's age related!)
