Well I've finally figured out my driver issues (apart from a wayward shot off the 1st T) and managed to get my "1st one under par" on our "11th/par 5" it's 520yds off the yellows so I took 2 "3 woods" to put me "15yds short and right of the green" I then put a 56* wedge to within 18" of the hole and putted for one under "yeehaa" finally got a one under instead of the usual 1-2 over in normally get !...

Love it - you sussed your driver issues by using a 3w off the tee. Good lesson there :)

Yep as far as I'm concerned the driver can sit in the locker and collect dust from now on, I out drove my workmate of the 11th by about 15-20yds as well 'n' he was using and "SLDR" so well chuffed with today's performance !...

Congrats mate

Cheers buddy, my back swing was good but when I applied the power on the forward swing I was coming in over the top and cutting across the back of the ball right-left resulting in a massive slice into a "whole other stratosphere" mate I'm talkin gone BIG STYLEEE !...

funnily enough that's exactly my problem at the minute!

Hope you get it under control buddy, once I'd figured it out I adjusted my swing accordingly !...

I was taking the club back and up and the "club shaft" would end up almost laying across my shoulders and then when I applied the down swing I was almost levering it over my right shoulder forcing the club head out and then I'd have to pull it back in to hit the ball which is were the "right-left cut" came from, it needs to go back at just above hip height and then when your left arm won't go any further cock your wrist slightly and then apply the forward swing, try it slowly first of all and gradually work up speed until you feel comfortable !...

Plenty of info on the "net" so should be able to find summat mate, hope this helps towards puting you back on track !...
