Just for a change, NOT club fees.

How many of you have subs(titute) clubs that come in, and out of play depending how the first team perfrom?

One or more drivers? Spare iron sets? Putters (... Yes I'm looking at you Fundy :D)? Fairway woods?

This question isn't about different set-ups for different courses (Summer vs winter, Links vs parkland etc), more about what clubs you go to when the ones in the bag head towards the naughty step.

So, come on! Who's on your subs' bench?

Nope none. The two sub putters were sold off back end of the year in anticipation of the new year transfer window :) No doubt one will be added pretty soon (certainly by spring) assuming im fit again. I guess you could say my Driver is on the subs bench as not been used for a fair while, but he'll be being sold in the near future along with the 3 wood if the new strong 3 wood behaves. Usually only putters I have spares off, everything else tends to be pretty fixed, though definitely rare for me not to have a few of them!

The issue is never the clubs. I have 14 clubs, everything else gets sold when the new ones arrive.

I'm the same. I chop and change with alarming regularity (not in 2014 though!) but the only clubs I own are those in my bag. No squad rotation for me, that would just allow doubt and indecision to creep in.

I have a subs bench full of wedges and putters!

The rest of the starting 14 is pretty settled, just the odd tactical change depending on who (where) the opposition is :)

I regularly chop and change that's one reason that as soon as I got my i20 irons for Xmas I sold my ap2s a day later or I would be reverting back to them if I had a bad round. I'm trying to stick to 1 driver also but having 2 more in my spare bag temps me to change now and again. But might get rid of all three and get fit for my next driver.
Clubs in spare bag are ft9 tour authentic driver. Cleveland xl custom driver. Adams f11 5 wood.ping i15 hybrid 23.2 vokey s/milled 58 different bounce and a vokey 54 oh and about 7 putters

Very rarely do I have anything on the bench.
As soon as something comes in, the other club(s) go out, mainly because I just don't have the room.

The only "fight" going on at the moment is between a Ping Redwood Piper and an Odyssey White Hot Tour No.7h - and the Piper seems to be winning.

I don't have any subs, same clubs for every round on every course for me. Chopping and changing clubs would just mess my head up, I just go and get fitted for them, spend the money and get the A team in the bag and get on with it. If you have a B team it just means you' never give 100% to your A team.

Only club I have on the subs bench is a 4 iron which at times I put in the bag instead of the 4 rescue dependant on course and weather

I have a callaway BB460, that unsuprisingly goes just as far as my R11s and G20....
