Submitting 2 cards from one round

Can I play in a Betterball round, putting out on every hole, and submit a casual card at same time?
One snag is, Anne, that in your better ball game you can give to and take advice from your partner. Your general play score has to be played according to the rules for singles strokeplay which does not allow you to give advice to another player in the competition who is playing at the time or ask for advice from anyone [Rule 10.2a].

and as another point in better ball players will often play out of turn so the person going second can learn form their partners shot. Playing out of turn is not allowed if it is being done to gain an advantage.

What is this "turn" that you speak of? I thought that we were all playing ready golf?

as per my post please be aware that in Ready Golf you cannot play out of 'turn' if you are doing so to gain an advantage.

Rule 6.4b

There is no penalty if a player plays out of turn, except that if two or more players agree to play out of turn to give one of them an advantage, each of them gets the general penalty (two penalty strokes).

In match play, if an opponent plays “ready golf” and plays when you are away, you have the option of recalling his stroke and have it played in the correct order.

Ok. But if the match is played according to the rules of singles golf, with no playing out of turn, or giving advice, and all holed out - even though different actions could be taken as far as the matchplay goes - in theory the singles card could be submitted, as its a legal singles round ?

I would assume not. But what rules does it fall foul of then, if the ones you have listed here are not breached ?

The Rules of Handicapping, in the UK, specifically do not allow a card to be submitted from match play..

thus we continue with 50pts pairs events :) shame the system hasn't been adapted to fit PAIRS scores into the process.
Mainly due to restrictions in the UK, rather than the overall system.

Mind you, I can imagine some sneaky pairs would either score on the hole, otherwise put themselves down for a blob :)
