Stupid iphone

My phone keeps saying no service. Also in the settings menu it's drops the carrier option and seems to think its an iPod.
I've reset network settings reset the whole phone ran updates, pre loaded old saves to no joy.
Occasionally it returns for a hour or 3 then vanishes again.
When plugged into iTunes it even says phone number n/a
I've rung orange they seem to think my SIM card is faulty and sending a new one.
Anyone else had a problem like this before?

Had similar issues. Turned out to be dirty SIM card from finger prints. Cleaned it and it was fine.

Tried to clean it loads doesn't make much difference.
Jus noticed I've got signal back again haha. Prob go again in an hour

They are most probably right Connor,it will be your sim card not the phone! Did you try a hard reset? (hold down power and home buttons for about 10 sec)

Yeah tried every kind of reset going...
Noway to the s3 that thing is bigger than a house brick

i got the s2 and agree s3 i ugly and far to big! but i have had iphones and gf has latest and i still prefere the s2 ( please dont let me down on the text prediction s2)

But battery life on the ipods are far better than the ipod and androids. I have a galaxy and detest it
