I am considering buying a pair of these as they seem ideal for winter golf. However, they are not cheap and I wonder, has anyone worn Wintra trousers and if so, are they worth the money?

I think these are the ones I bought.

I hate playing in waterproofs and these claim to be shower resistant. They definitely work from that respect. I'm not sure they'd stand up to a downpour, but are certainly good enough to play in showers without having to keep hopping in and out of waterproofs. They are fairly smart (smarter than waterproofs) and don't stand out in the clubhouse. They are a bit shiny however, and make a bit of a rustle when you walk.

They don't strike me as particularly thick or warm, so I think there might be some thermals required on a cold February morning.

The sizing was a bit on the generous side (which is just as well for me :o).

Overall I'm happy with my purchase and I'm considering getting another pair.

Cheers

My mother in law got me some for my birthday, they are excellent. Water resistant, double lined, comfortable. Only trouble is she got herself some and my father in law... So I am not playing with them....

i have a pair of these and they are excellent winter trousers. i haven't needed to put thermals on underneath them so far in the 18 months i have had them.

i would say they are better than just being "water resistant" as i wore mine at the forum meet at Woburn and they stood up to the down pour we had in the afternoon.

I am thinking of getting their Wintra top as well as i hate playing in a jacket

I bought a pair a few weeks ago, little did I expect to need them 3 days later. They were great for the 10 holes we played until the hooter went for abandonment of the comp due to flooded greens.
As someone has already said if you are erring on a size go for the smaller.

My only concern when wearing them was I thought my right leg was a bit damp but soon realised it was because I was shoving my soaking wet rain glove in my right pocket to retrieve my tee!
