Aaarrrgghhh!

My eyes, my eyes!!

Mrs Hobbit is a EmmerCorrieEnders fan but thankfully I've cured her of EmmerEnders. Sadly its that time of year again and our TV suffers the strain of X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing. Horror of all Horrors the Dancing prog is on 7 nights a week. Tonight I'm sitting here with the Hobbit laptop when the doorbell rings, and guess who gets the evil eye for ignoring it?

A man can only take so much of this excrement. Tomorrow I'm planning a visit to B&Q to see if they do a large enough fireguard to put in front of the TV... its in danger of receiving a Stella can!

Anyone got the number for the Samaritans?

Got to agree chaps, the amount of flesh on show is obscene, I love it. Plus it beats waiting ten seconds for every decision and fifty ad breaks on X factor.

I feel your pain, as for the rest of you if you don't man up the samaritans will ring you.

Strictly is one of the best programmes on the telly at the moment
I love it

Ah, Flavia, she's my favourite you know! :o

Did you see her a couple of weeks ago, dancing the Argentinian Tango?
Absolutely fantastic - the true meaning of World class!!!!

Mr Hobbit,

You have my sympathy. Unfortunately the other posters who responded to your cry for help have only looked at SCD as a showcase for young nubile women. In this day and age, that's a shocking, sexist attitude unless Kelly Brook happens to perform in a string bikini (in which case I would classify that as "educational")

As for the show, Bruce's jokes are so old that Noah is up in heaven going "I know what he is going to say". Russell Grant - well, what more needs to be said. That footballer guy with the hair: man up ffs. And Oddly Harrison? What is that all about, you are (supposed to be) a boxer! Even that Tess woman, who is in theory quite fit, frequently looks like she's an extra from Planet of the Apes who's escaped from the set.

And just don't mention Anita Dobson, OK ?

The BBC should stop making this sort of sh*te and give all their money to David Attenbrough so he can make films about animals fighting, eating, fannying about and screwing.

Sorry - was she dancing ? I didnt get past the costume

beautiful lovely highly skilled and hard working ladies (see i'm not sexist) - they're probably intelligent too

Love those costume designers - that Black Swan costume that Holly was wearing was rather fantastic ;)
Still doesn't beat Erin in her stickings and suspenders a couple of years back

Erin. Mmmmmm. Used to like camilla ( not old horse face), she had an amazing way of moving. Scd is great telly. Unlike the rest of the junk that is on, junior apprentice excepted. Can't stand britains got x factor.

Wish I could vote the whole bloody lot off......

Barely anything worth watching to justify the licence fee at the moment.......

Saturday night television, I just want entertaining, and Strictly does it for me.

I always wonder why people get so high and mighty about these sort of programmes, as if a bit of frivolous fun isn't allowed on our tv's. Yes, I watch Question Time and Panorama etc etc but there are times that I just want to chill out and be entertained.

By the way Saturday nights were made for Holly .... mmmmmmmmmm

So its football round up on Sky, Strictly, Merlin, Xfactor and MOTD - perfect!

Chris, I posted up for "a bit of frivolous fun." I actually don't mind either way, although I do draw the line at Big Brother!!

No high and mighty here, just a fellow "Question Timer"

Sorry Hobbit, I wasn't picking you out as "high and mighty" in particular. We can all like or dislike what we want but I just get pi$$ed off with the "it should be banned" mob who want anything they dont want to watch stopped.

I personally dont watch any of the soaps, have never seen big brother and only seen about one episode of I'm a celebrity..... but if they show it and people want to watch it , good luck to them!

As I said I do watch some high brow stuff but I equally like to relax with the general entertainment stuff .... although Xfactor is becoming tedious, but I do enjoy Britains Got Talent
