wondering if anybody has played there recently, looking to book a society day there next month, i used to play it alot about 10 years ago, remeber it being a nice little course, doubt if its changed too much in 10 years but just wanted to check what anyone thinks about it , cheers

That's where I had my first lessons, about 20 years ago. Don't live round there now, but I hear that's matured pretty nicely from people who still play round there.

hi quinn the course is in great nick greens are in very good shape and playing very true, if you are going to book a day there ask to play off the white tees its a complete diffren't challenge yellow's are ok but i like the white tee's the best, if you need to know more let me know have fun

thanks dean, playing the 24th sept,8 of us there,s a comp on but said he could squeeze us in about 2ish, was really helpful, white tees it is then, remember the 18th being a tough hole, how longs the range been there, cant remeber one being there last time i played

I have been a member at the club a few years now and have to say the course represents great value. Fairly wide and forgiving as a course but the wind does have a habit of rearing up pretty bad some days making it more of a challenge. The range and practice facilities and the club house friendly and the very opposite to some other courses locally.

Is Nigel still the pro up there? He taught me when I was a junior at Stratford GC... top man!

Not recently, but a while back, yes. Quite good as I remember it.

I bought a 9 degree Call' warbird driver from the range in about 1996. Not quite good, as I remember it! :o
