Headed to the course this afternoon to practice for a few hours.

Started hitting full pitching wedges, hit all the balls in my practice bag roughly 80 and I was hitting well. Collected them all up, then started hitting pitching wedges again, only this time I had lost all ability to swing a club, hitting the ball low, left, right etc!! So in the space of 5 minutes I went from great to abysmal!

Started hitting sand wedges and got back to hitting it well

Stupid game!!

I feel your pain. Wanted to work on my distance control on my pitches from 30-60 yards and got a dose of the hosels. Can't shake them off and confidence shot for my round tomorrow

Yeah it's a nasty game at times

Managed to start middling my other wedges so got my confidence back luckily 😀😀

Did the same last week at Blackpool,hit the range with my mate and proceeded to hit long high flighted drives, my irons were like lasers on the pins,wedges awesome, happy with my practice and was confident i would be placed in the comp went in for a bacon bap and a coffee,my mate who was caddying for me had put clubs on the buggy stocked up on provisions and to the first we went,teed up after starter introduced me confidence oozing from me,i topped it and it moved about 6 yds,silence then laughter,96 strokes later we shook hands on the 18th,me like a shell shocked wreck my mate in fits of laughter.

Played today and left myself several tricky pitches. Got away with a couple and naused up the others. Confidence definitely shot and need to work on it this week. I was pitching well up until last week

Surely hitting that amount of balls with one club is not going to do much good.

Maybes that was the problem pal, as when I moved to sand wedge I started hitting it well
