did anybody see Scott Strange top his 3 wood tee shot yesterday? I was as astounded as the commentators and whilst he said at the end of his round that he felt auwful and just wanted to get off the course at this stage, it was still noted that this is a very rare occurence. Whislt every so often you see the tour pros slice or hook a shot I for one have never seen such a poor strike. It travelled about 15 yards and got stuck in the rough in front of the tee.

He said afterwards that the felt unwell and unsteady on his feet, so I suppose he has an excuse. I remember Henrik Stenson hitting a similar shot at the Accenture Matchplay. He didn't have an excuse though. His was just a bad shot.
Still, it's very rare to see pros hitting shots like this.

Even the pro's hit a bad shot one in a while, not too often tho'. I remenber Sandy Lyle topping a 3 wood about 70 or 80 yards off the 1st at St Andrews, he then hit a 4 iron into 5 feet and holed for a birdie, that's what you call a good recovery.

I remember Tom Kite topping a drive into the spectators on the left some 50 yards.

As for Tiger I assume that he hits his wedge out of the rough and from there you will see a hacker's shot from touring pros as well. Remember Robert Karlsson at Adare Manor?
