So what's the weather like where you are?

We have some driving rain and wind must be around 25mph.

Can confirm that the For Sale sign is still in situ but it doesn't look good.

Just watched the national and local news and sounds like it could be a rough night! Sure was windy on the course today and even more important to miss the trees. Looking for a ball on the 6th and heard a loud crack and a huge branch landed a few feet away - lots of similar debris around the course...

My work day tomorrow and we manufacture concrete fence posts - every cloud and all that!

Been a bit blowy today but its eerily calm right now. Have a few country roads to get through on my trip to work tomorrow so I'm hoping there aren't any felled trees in the way!

Really strong winds all day. Not bothered hitting a ball all weekend. Some biggish branches down but hoping we are t too bad. Not sure about getting to work as SWT are already saying its unlikely to run many trains.

It's been pretty wild all day here.
Several squalls with Biblical rain
I think the worst is due early morning.......
Should be calming down a bit by lunchtime - might sneek out for a quick round then...

I went out for a cycle around Burghfield yesterday, and came across various debris all over the place and a very large tree down
So I decided against going out today, even though it was beautiful all morning

I drove to the course at 6.45 this morning and it was tipping down, large pools of standing water on the motorway and a little bit of aqua planing - an hour later and the place brightens up, we sort out a fourball and had cracking game and a good win against a pair that my regular partner and I are playing next Sunday in the winter league.

I never thought for a moment that I'd play today - bonus!

We're supposed to be teeing it up at 11am if you fancy joining us lol (highly unlikely we'll be playing if it gets any worse)

Very windy day today coupled with some of the worst golf imaginable....however it's now totally silent outside....I'm guessing, quite literally, the calm before the storm.....

We have been on alert for this in Cornwall since Tuesday. Went to the beach this afternoon to see how rough the sea was and it was!
Blowing well then at about 4 this afternoon but it calmed down to dead calm at about 6 this evening. The wind has just got up to a light breeze. It really does feel like the calm before the storm now as it's pouring down with rain.
All garden furniture has been stored away for the winter now and the shed doors have been screwed shut.
The missus thinks I'm being paranoid but I was living in Hampshire in '87 and that was horrendous. I don't think it's being paranoid but being prepared for what might come.
Torches are out with charged batteries, candles are set out in glasses and I've got the camping stove set up as all our cooking is electric.

I'll update later when it starts getting serious down here.

So far nothing has hit Lincolnshire. Weather was fine today with a good breeze. We get it last though so all will be revealed tomorrow. Stay safe out there.
