Steve Bruce became the first premier league manager to be sacked today. Could be the start of a few sackings running up to Xmas.

No tears shed for that fella.
He was part of the cause that almost bankrupt Huddersfield early 2000. Spent a fortune buying expensive players. Many of whom were pants.

Shut the door on the way out Mr Bruce!!!:D

as a wolves supporter I'm not really happy with it TBH, we have them on Sunday and I was hoping for a result; likelihood is that they will be now really fired up under a caretaker manager.

Whelan will get fed up with Martinez eventually (even if the win against Sunderland eased the pressure)

Not surprised about Bruce.

It is always panic time for chairman coming up to Xmas. Also they need the new manager in place before the January transfer window opens. The gap between the bottom ten or so teams is just a few points, so there are quite a few at risk.

Martinez is safe no matter what. Whelan said he won't sack him and he meant it. With regards to Bruce. He was interviewed last week and said he had never walked away from anything in football. He obviously forgot palace, Birmingham and Wigan. Couldn't happen to a more mercenary manager. No sympathy at all.

How lucky is Steve Bruce loses his job on last day of November when on the 1st of December stores are looking for a fat git in red and white?

LOL - bugger, us LFC fans love singing songs skitting the size of his head.

The last one was "He's got a head like a beachball" - after the famous incident.

As a fan of the mighty Eagles how sad I am to hear the news of this sacking - sorry I can't believe that I wrote this about that ................. sorry, but the new forum rules dont allow me to say what I want, even if I don't write all the letters!
