Any of you got any menial tasks that give you that ridiculously misguided sense of satisfaction that it is work that only a man should be doing?

Mine is pressure washing things.

Jetting off the deck and garden furniture at the weekend ready for the glorious summer that is imminent gave me that smug feeling of a hunter gatherer providing for the helpless females in the family! :D

Sorry, pointless post, slow day and I'm on countdown to a weeks golf in Cornwall next week :p

Washing the cars is MY job and heaven help the spouse if she goes near a carwash. Last month I was black walling the tyres on her wee Beetle under a holgen spotlight at 10:30 at night.
You work on the car in the dark too :D
I let her do the shopping, Im a modern man, why should I expect her to allow me to do it? Fairs fair afterall.

Not really, i'm a modern man.
I'll quite happily sit in a chair in the garden, cold beer in hand, directing her to the branch that needs lopping off the tree she has just shinnied up.

Also happy to let her wash the cars, her therapy.

re point ridge tiles.

Dig the garden.

re build the stone wall

who am I kidding (apart from the car washing)

The barbecue.
My job and no-one elses.
Everything else in the garden is hers. I bought her a hover mower 'cos her back hurt with the old push one, a bow saw so that she could lop the branches off easier, a leaf blower/sucker, a chain saw and electric hedge trimmers.
I'm even considering getting her a bigger garden shed.
I can see why she loves me

I love pressure washers and cant leave the one at work alone. I just have to go and give it blast and wash all that nasty gunk/soil away

Hello , I'm Dave and i'm addicted to pressure washers :D
