to be fair I've done that at Mcduff if not further, 160 yards to the pin duffed it and it went 200 yards down the cliff so nearer 300 yards.

I'm guessing the fact that it's hot there and hard fairways make a difference % wise though I'm not sure, still an almighty effort though.
How does the temp effect ball distance anyway? any formula's out there, ball on Friday was going nowhere 5 deg temp.

Every 10°f below 70 equates to you losing a yard of distance.. That doesn't include any extra layers of clothing, denser air etc.
Above 70°f it makes little if any difference.

They do seem to be hitting it further out there so LP may be right. Definitely warmer than here which will help
