Are manufacturers still making them ? Does anybody know if they're still available anywhere on general sale or is it case of trawling the favourite auction sites for models of yesteryear ???

I think most manufacturers will do them as a custom option, best check the manufacturer website and look under custom options

they must still do them my make just got a an Xhot2 pro hybrid with a steel shaft in and thats only a couple of years old at most
