Hello All, I've started playing golf again after a 10year break. I am now on the hunt for some new clubs and went down to the american golf store and the fella said buy the most expensive ones I could afford and when said didnt want to buy them today wasnt interested. I'm gonna go back to another store and see what happens but has anyone got any recomendations for a mid/high handicap? Seen on a google search the Ping g20's are the best bet but was wondering what you guys thought? Budget looking at spending upto £700 for irons then £300-£400 for driver and woods. Any help would be great as dont trust american golf was thinking about asking the pro golf shop but thought they will sell me what they have on offer like AG.

Go and see the pro at your local club they can be very competative on price these days and will help you get the clubs that wil best suit your game not make him the most commission.

I'd try direct golf in Moreton (where it may be free) or True fit golf in Widnes (both have driving ramges also) as you can see the ball flight as well. At TFG it will cost you for a fitting, but they may take it off the club prices, but direct golf was cheaper for the actual clubs for me.

Wilson Staff Di11 job done, price £280 approx

Superb clubs

Not sure i believe the sales guy said what you claimed, if so i would of spoken to his manager and complained

He probably meant spend the most you can afford to get the best for your money, if you said you were not buying today he should of still shown interest in the belief you may come back

True Fit Golf in widness is a cracking shop. Always have great service from them. They had Ping G10 irons for £350 not so long back that would suit you perfect.
