Yup, thats what I was doing wrong... but not in the "horizontal" direction.

I was not bending my knees enough, a tiny bit more knee flex was added to my address position to bring be closer to the ball in the vertical direction and suddenly I was having eagle and birdie putts all over the place!

Never knew knee flex was that important, I now have my shoulders, knees and toes in a vertical line at 90* to the ground and I have never hit the ball so consistent, 3 irons ending up 20 feet from the pin, tee shots booming down the fairway, pitch shots sticking on the green pin high, its all coming!

So who else on here could do with some more knee flex and get closer to the ball in the vertical direction?

You need to have the basics right to get anywhere in golf. Alignment, Posture & Grip. Get those 3 things right and your on the track to success.

Well I played two balls off the tee for a few holes, had 2 eagle putts and 3 birdies in 14 holes! I cannot believe a tiny bit of knee flex made so much of a difference.
