Morning All,
I was just thinking of replacing my mizuno bag with a Ogio Grom? The reason I ask is that I read that the stands are not as stable as others.

I did get the Cobra DB 08 but the strap is tightish and there is the smallest of Tee pockets, the cooler pocket is great but of no use in winter and it doesn't provide me with anymore room that I currently have with the Mizuno Areolite 2.

I am looking for a larger bag for the winter to keep all my gear without to much effort, advice on this and the above would be much appreciated.

Don't know if you're doing comps over the winter, but how about taking half the clubs out and trying to be more versatile with whats left in the bag. Just an idea.

Got to admit, I used to have enough room for stuff in the Aerolite, but with the GoKart now I end up taking everything out on course with me.

Its not the clubs that are the issue, its the: -

flask of coffee
waterproofs
spare towel
balls
rain hood

That cram it full, so was just looking for something a big bigger than the Aerolite, though I love the glove holder and large Tee pocket.

You are carrying, and have room for a flask of coffee? Get a lecky trolley man before your back gives out, you know it makes sense.

I tee off at 7am every week and booze is usally the last thing on my mind after a Friday night. Its nice to have the time to sit down and look throught he woods on the 6th tee and have a brew :p before slicing it onto the 2nd fairway!!

Not keen on Callaway bags, heard so many stories about them.

Get a powakaddy or motocaddy with the optional seat attachment. Somewhere to keep the coffee and also somewhere to sit and drink it :D You know it makes sense! ;)

I just forked out £400 on gear, I don't think HID would allow another £400 on a trolley and cart, though if I sell her for £500 I may kill two birds with one stone...

I have an ogio bag and its great! especially the wood club management system. The reason these stands get bad press is because halfway down the bracket there a plastic clip which keeps the metal bars together. This tends to slide up every now and then which affects how far apart the leags spread. So make sure you keep it in place when you buy and the bag will remain very stable.

Hope this helps.

Perhaps you could visit a golf superstore and check out the different makes or even a well stocked pro shop. The NEC golf show should have plenty on display.

Just visited AG and they had about 6 stand bags, which I must say where over priced compared to online and the Pro stocks Callaway which I have read lots of reviews are not as good as others in the same price brand.

I cannot fault it, I had another callaway stand bag before it that was also great but I over packed it and ripped the seam on it. Callaway replaced it no messing.

This one is solid and has pockets in all the right places.
