Could you please remind me if there is a tie on stableford, after best back 9, what is then used to differentiate the scores?

5 of us got 27 points for a tie for 5th spot (we play a Grand Prix scoring system for top 8 places) in the strong wind at Whitburn at the coast (South Tyneside)

Many thanks
Colin

Thanks Alan, I seemed to recall it was last 6.

Someone in our society thought that after back 9, it went to Stroke Index 1 - has anyone heard of this?

I think it goes to the front 9 if everythig else is tied. Not sure, but I think it happened a few years ago at a club when they were holding a open.
Would be interesting to find the right answer

Yes it go's it to the front nine,if tied then last six on front nine then last three one front nine then last one on the front nine.

Go on your going to ask me what happens if it's still tied, well sorry dont know.

Surely, if you are tied over all, and still tied after back 9, back 6, back 3, 2 and 1, there is no point in looking at front 9, as by default front 9 has to be tied too.

Front 6, maybe? but not 9.
