in my clubs stableford compitition today i scored a 98-24=74 27 nett points because i have never played stableford in my life!!! Is that a natural score to get or should i be aiming a bit higher than that. considiring i did have a 8 up the long par 4 last i could of been 28, 29 nett points

This doesn't add up. If you played at Musselburgh, it's par 71, SSS 72 (assuming white tees). If you did a nett 74, you must have had a minimum of 34 points (by my calculation which, not for the first time, may be influenced by red biddy). If it was a stableford competition, your nett medal score is not really relevant as you may have had one or more really high gross scores on some holes. If that happened, then your stableford score could have been higher. Did your gross score include all 18 holes, including blobs where you scored no stableford points?

i scored a 98-24=74 27 nett points because i have never played stableford in my life..............its a par 71 and just came back from 5 week injury. on the road to recovery though

That would explain it then :D :D

;) ;)

36 points would be playing to your handicap

Only if par=SSS, then depending on CSS calculation.

Eh? So getting two points for a nett par doesn't equate to 36 points for an 18 hole round :D :D :D :D

Not what I said. What I said was that 36 points is playing to handicap only if par for the course is equal to SSS.
