Hi there i'm playing Castle and Eden course in two weeks. I've read a few posts that suggests you get a 'goody' bag at the start is this true? Would people recommend me taking a trolley as i usually just carry. Any advice would be brilliant as I can't wait and want to make the most of the few days. :D

Carry, and be prepared to take about 50 putts on the Castle Course.

You get a goody bag at the Castle, but not the Eden from memory. You will get a very friendly welcome, especially at the Castle. Just about the friendliest Club I have ever played at. Don't be short at the 17th, you will see what I mean when you get there.

Don't dawdle on Eden, you'll be chased by the time you hit your tee shot on the 2nd
(and by dawdle I mean walk, you should attempt to jog whenever possible to satisfy their spacings but maybe its changed since I played it)

Hey Sirmol, myself and 2 mates played the Eden course on Monday (12th of May) Course was great, absolutely no problem with speed of play and the group behind were not too close, in fact the course was fairly quiet. Two of us carried our clubs, the other hired a trolly at £5. It is not a hilly track. Its really up to you, I would get a trolly if i was playing both courses in one day, if not i wouldn't bother. When you pay your cash they give you a scorecard, strokesaver, pitchmark repairer and pencil. Hope this helps mate, its a really enjoyable course where you can really score. Final tip don't try and cut the corner on number 3, aim straight at the marker and you will be fine said the mug who took three of the tee. Ps let me know how you get on at the castle, we were thinking about going at the end of the season.
