Good forum users of Scotland (the Eastern bit in particular)

What's the lowdown on weather St Andrews way this week? Looks like it's been v wet and snow forecast for Thursday?

Please tell me its in fact a mild 10 degrees with wispy high cloud and a gentle wind that will help on all holes on the links?

Mike,
It is the middle of January! St A forecast looks 6 degrees, 10 or 15mph wind gusting stronger and rain/sleet/snow...so all things considered great golfing weather!!
You'll just have to be patient and look for shelter as I take 5 minutes to stalk all my putts!! ;)

Wishfull thinking Mike, was down near St Andrews early this morning was dry and around 2 degrees, thankfuly no sign of frost.
Not looking great for thurs as birdie said light winds(for scotland anyway) and rain possibly sleet for that area.
Will feel a lot colder in the wind mate so you all better wrap up well, hope you all play well despite the weather.

Mike, the weather forecast has changed dramatically between yesterday and today. Too unpredicatable. Have no fears. It'll be a balmy 65 degrees, downwind on every hole on Friday.

Like John said, the forecast has been changing daily since Saturday, in fact some would say it changes as often as birdieman's drivers.
Best wait 'til the day and look out the window.

Not to worry you or anything, Paul, but on the St Andrews webcam today I spotted these 3 caddies waiting on the 1st tee.

There are some pretty giddy people on this forum lately. Anyone would think they had a game scheduled on a world famous golf course or something.

Calm down guys, you'll be hyperventilating come Thursday evening at this rate! :p

Brown paper bag for hyperventilation...damn nearly forgot!

Let's face it guys, you'll be at St A - you won't care what the weathers like.
I can remember (just - it was a while ago) looking toward St A at crystal clear skies on crisp frosty mornings with that low mist rising across the airfield - and I didn't play golf then!
