used one of these yesterday for the first couple of holes due to it being a bit foggy.

It was like hitting a stone...

anyone else used these?

Mate of mine used them all Summer. Think he got a good multi buy deal. Went from 9 to 6.4 in the season... He liked them, especially off the putter...

I play them and the white version occasionally, quite like them but prefer TM Lethal balls over them more so, also the Nike 20XI-X as well

Find that surprising. Used XV in yellow before and never thought that. There again I'm not single figures and so your striking and short game dexterity probably a world apart from my own. Gave up on Srixon when I discovered the B330RXS and AD333 tour which are my favourite balls

The XV is the Pro v1x equivalent. You'll either love it or hate it. Not a fan myself, prefer the standard Z star.

I use Prov1x and these are nothing like those. Ive used a white XV before and that wasn't too bad, but the yellow felt like putting with a stone off the beach.

Its not often I use a yellow ball but I have used a few down the years and, almost without fail, they all seem to be "harder" than the equivalent white ball.
NXT Tour S is a prime example
I could be wrong, it could be me, maybe I expect them to be harder so they feel it..?
I think Fundy uses these so he may be a long soon to give his opinion...

Never actually used one, on account of it being yellow, which is wrong. However, I've always thought that they don't look right, can't put my finger on it but they would look at home at a miniature golf course.

I use these a fair bit, theyre certainly on the firmer side of the premium balls but still get enough spin into greens with them (and less spin off the tee which suits me) and are soft enough chipping and putting for my tastes. That said ive used X version of premium balls mainly for years now and have probably got used to them whereas a normal Prov1 now feels almost too soft to me

Very strange as one of my playing partners said the same, he used it for a couple of holes as well and said the same. He has the fastest swing speed of my mates too with a driver SS over 115MPH and still manages to hit a 7 iron 175 yards carry in the cold conditions yesterday. played ok with it don't get me wrong, i didn't find i suffered loss of distance or spin, it just felt terrible

I prefer the NXT Tour S Yellow for exactly that reason. Standard Z-Star Yellow was the same compared to White too. Not tried the XV Yellow as the White is already a bit of a rock for me off Driver - fine to putt with though.

Im surprised you all think they are the same ball as the white, i even tried a yellow standard Z star against a white one( its a couple of years old version) felt totally different to the white on on the chipping green.

very clicky

Hardly a fair comparrison. That would be like comparing the original Ford Mondeo with the current offering.
I play Z-Star as my summer ball, and have found no difference between the white or yellow apart from the bias of some against a yellow ball.
