Anyone using Srixon Z745/Z545 or Taylormade Rsi TP irons?
I was set to go for the RSI TP but recently hit a few balls with a Z745 6 iron and was equally impressed. I see Srixon also do a Z545 with undercut cavity.
I liked the RSI TP when I tested it, I can hit the ball a little thin at times and the numbers were still pretty good with the TP when I did, I also liked the fact there was only a little offset.
Not sure with the Srixons as only literally hit a handful of balls but they seemed superb.

Any opinions or feedback would be great on any of these irons. :-)

Liked the tp's when I hit them at the weekend. Wasn't keen on the kbs shaft though and they didn't have the x100 in.

Have a hit of the mp15's. Now they are amazing. If i could afford a new set right now, they would be the ones.

There are definitely some Srixon users knocking around and everyone I've spoken to about them thinks they're great.

Don't rule out the z545's, they're a little more user friendly than the z745's but they don't sacrifice much in the looks department. It's also very easy to mix the z545s and the z745s (or even the z945s, now those are some clubs!).

Shane Lowry plays z545s in his long irons and z745s in the shorter irons.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try and give the MP15s a hit. :-)
Also like the idea I could mix a set with the Srixons, I def need to hit a few more balls there.
Anyone else on with the TPs? I suspect they will come down in price soon so could make a good buy on that front.

You can do a mixed set with the Mizunos. If/when I go for it I think I'd go 4 and 5 in mp h5's and 6-pw in the 15's.

I hadn't realised that Jon, the MP H5 would certainly be more appealing in the lower end of the bag. The 15s look great but I'd welcome a little extra help say 3 or 4-6 iron.

Yeah definitely. I'd consider going to 6 as well, but I was hitting the mp15 6 iron demo very nicely. Any pro should be able to get the individual clubs in to make up a combo set.

I'd have ordered them on sat if I hadn't just booked a holiday in sept and Turkey for golf in feb within the last 2 weeks.

I'll try and hit some later this week, the Srixons seem a bit harder to find though without a bit of travelling.
Did you find the Mizuno MP H5 a little easier to hit in the longer iron than the Rsi TPs?
I may of been having a good day when I hit the TPs but I seemed to be getting a lovely flight with the longer irons especially.
Enjoy the holiday. :-)

I only hit the 6 iron in the tp's and it flew very nicely when I struck one. But I need an x flex shaft and they didn't have one in so I spent more time hitting the 15. The mp h5's are lovely. I've hit the 2 iron a few month s ago as well and that was so easy to hit. I would definitely be having a combo set. Like you say, I still want the help on the longer irons.

I have a set of 745's on order having used mp53's since they were released. The feel of the Srixon is superb, in fact the new mp25 hit along side it felt like a cast club. I have not hit the tp only the regular rsi1 and its not my cup of tea at all.

Think it was KBS Tour S flex when I hit them, seemed ok but I'd need a proper fitting. Always used Dynamic Gold in the past so I'd really like to try that route first if poss.
Thanks for the info.

Tried the 745 & the 945 on Saturday - Wow!

The 945 is the easiest blade(ish) I've ever hit, loved it. Took it with the Nippon modus pro shaft, very nice indeed.

Better flight and more distance than my mp60s....a change is coming :)

Thanks for the reply, I've yet to hear anything bad about the Srixons, anyone who's tried them seems to rave about them.
Where did you try them?

Thanks for the reply mate. Do you know what the standard shaft offerings were?

I'm based up in Cumbria, I was down at Barrow golf club in the south of the county. The pro is a stockist and has a good range of shaft options.

That's my set up 745 and 945s in the 8/9 and PW. Had then nearly a year now, my HC is still 5, not bad for a 63 year old and I shot two over par in the medal only a couple of weeks back.

How good are they......lots of good clubs out there these days, but the Srixons, in my opinion, are better than Mizuno......the clubs I was thinking of buying before I picked up these bats.

I try different clubs all the time, but you really need to try them, that's all I'm saying. The blades are the dogs nads.
