Anyone used the Srixon fitting centre at Studley Wood? Any comments on service/ quality etc?

Time for some new spanners - 945/ 745 combo :)

A mate who is a member at Woburn travelled down there to use them instead of using Woburn who also stock the Srixons etc - said the service was brilliant and took ages to ensure everything was spot on

I'm also interested in going to be fitted there, and I have heard that they are excellent.

I asked one of the GM journalists that I bumped into recently for his thoughts, and he also thought it was a very good facility.

They do the initial fitting in a driving range bay, but you can then also hit off grass to make sure you're still happy with it.

When are you thinking of going? I'm thinking I might go for a 545/745 combo.

I was there playing on Tuesday, practice facilities looked good so i'm sure you'll be fine
 
If I can ever get in contact with anyone there, I'll book it for early October.

Picked my 745's up yesterday, very very nice.

Longer irons are very powerful, well pleased, just need to fix a wonky swing now!

Have you hit them yet, and have you hit the new Mizuno MP-5?

Just wondering how they compare, as I'm finding it hard to not book myself in for the Mizzy's. :o

I've hit the Srixons yes. The flight and carry was much better than my mp60s with both versions.

Not hit any new Mizunos so can't offer any comparison there mate.

I've only hit MP 25, which lack feel compared to Srixon 745 and are pig ugly in comparison.
I am a long time mizzy user so that is sure sign of how good I think the Srixon irons are.
If I played more often than I manage at the moment it would have been a no brainer to get the 945s.

Couldn't be bothered hanging about after flushing the 6i on the range so......


4 & 5 iron in 745
6 - PW in the 945

Nippon Modus pro and Lamkin Utx grips.

About 10days apparently, can't wait :)
