Srixon ad333 balls

I've used these for a while now, I like how they off irons and woods as well as the putter. However, lately I've noticed that after a few holes a thin film starts to peel off. At my level it probably doesn't affect my game, but I do find it off putting and golf is a game of confidence and mind!

I've tried emailing and tweeting srixon to see if it's a common fault that they're aware of but they're not responding. I'm due to buy a couple of dozen but don't really want to if it is a common fault.

So my questions to you are:

Has anyone else come across or heard of this problem?

If I was to switch to another ball, what similar ones (price as well as quality) are out there?

I use the 333 Tour and not noticed any issues but assume you are talking about the standard 333?

I've always found Titleist DT Solo/Tru Soft to be of a similar quality ball.

Never noticed this issue with mine, but it's rare that I go more than nine holes without losing one.

Nope not noticed a thing. A pal found about 600 balls on our course and I got about 80 ad333 and 20 ad333 tour and not a problem with one of them.

sound like refurbs to me .either that or fakes.i dont think anyone has had issues with srixon balls peeling, and as they sell so many they would be a good target to fake.

I had some yellow ones from Sports Direct over Christmas and the surface was a little bobbly. A bit like when you use spray paint in cold weather and it gets that rough sandpapery texture...put me off buying from sports direct a little bit tbh.

These were standard ad333s, new not refurbs. A birthday present last year so not sure where they're from. Sounds like it was just a dodgy batch! Cheers all.
